Early Morning Prayer, Organ Solo
Inspired by the verse, Psalm 143:8 ESV “Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.”
Early Morning Prayer, an Original Composition by Susan Staples Bell, is perfect for the new Organist or a transitioning Pianist, as seen in the repetitive, minimal Foot Pedal note patterns. The featured right hand melody appears on the Great manual, while the left hand accompaniment “jazzy” chords bring a fresh new sound. The B section brings change as both hands are now on the Swell. Optional Da Capo, if the player needs a little extra time. Lovely as a Prelude or Offertory.
Susan Staples Bell has been a Music Educator for over 30 years: With experience as a Band Director, Jazz Band Director, Choir Director, Handbell Director, Church Accompanist, Organist, but principally, she is a Piano Instructor. These varied musical experiences bring a fresh approach to each of her compositions, as she strives to educate as well as delight!
Time length. (02:20, with repeat: 03:40). Organ Solo for Early Intermediate students. Great piece for General Worship
