Escape! Early Intermediate Solo
Here’s another fun piece from Adventures on the High Seas: A Collection of Original Solos Inspired by Pirate Tales.
This one is fast & fun! You can feel the urgency right away - why are we on the run? Are the pirates running from the Admiral of the fleet or is the Royal Navy running way from the Pirates? You decide!
Right hand melody features some repeated notes that builds the excitement. The melody rises & falls, as if at sea. The contrasting B section gives a bit of rest, but continues the syncopated rhythm to help the student really learn it well. The returning A section is the same melody as before, but an octave higher.
Key: F Natural minor
Time signature: 4/4
Skill development: Repeated notes, Right Hand melodic arpeggio patterns, rhythmic patterns - repeated syncopated patterns, exciting Left Hand 5ths in the accompaniment.
What level: Early Intermediate
How long: Cover + 3 pages, Performance time 01:40.
This is a Single License: One purchase - One copy. Thank for honoring the composer’s work by not sharing.
