Fun music that get young students excited to play piano!! Reinforcing notes in RH C position, LH notes G,A,B (with finger number help), counting quarters, halves, dotted halves and whole notes & rests, options for percussive sounds, 3/4 and 4/4 time, staccato & lyrical articulations, following repeats and DC al Coda, variety of tempos, LH cross over (only once). For Late Elementary: use of the Damper pedal for effect, playing 2 notes together at the same time, even staccato playing between hands, dynamic contrast, Octave higher/lower, note pattern imitation, a little challenge at the end: Outlaws ask for steady beat LH with a different pattern in RH. Last 4 pieces are in D minor penta scale position.
