  2. Pianist 1 & 2 have added percussion parts to the Full ensemble.

  3. Pianist 3 & 4 can be an independent Duet.

  4. Pianist 5 can be an independent, advanced Solo.

  5. Pianist 5 can be omitted- the part is covered in the Duet.


Need to get organized? You’ll need 4 pianos for the full ensemble:

-Pianist 1 can be played by 2 students on the same part at the same piano (just in different octaves).

-Pianist 2 & 5 each need their own piano.

-Pianist 3 & 4 (a true duet) they can share 1 piano.

Elementary (Pianist 1) is never asked to move hand positions. When asked to play the bell part, it’s always on beat “1” or a few times on “1,2,3”.

Late Elementary (Pianist 2) never moves hand positions. Their percussion part is the “waltz rhythm”: Rest, quarter, quarter.

Early Intermediate (Pianist 3- Primo)

Intermediate (Pianist 4-Secondo)

Late Intermediate (Pianist 5- Solo) Stunning solo piece- bonus!

Hand position: E Minor Penta Scale, E Minor Scales

Time signature: 3/4, BPM = 166, feel it like a Waltz in “1”

Skill development: Ensemble playing, Rhythm counting, auxiliary percussion parts. It’s a beautiful arrangement!

Level: Multi Level.
