This piece is an Elementary Trio for 1 Piano, 6 Hands designed to inspire Elementary students. Great for starting a conversation about MKL Day and the American Civil Rights Movement.
All the parts fit easily on 1 Piano, but it also feels right at home in Group Piano settings. FREE Backing Tracks are included, but this sounds great with only the Piano parts. Grab your FREE backing tracks here.. This folder includes 2 tracks - All Parts together and the background part. Both of these are helpful to use for home practice.
This Trio arrangement is almost exactly like the Flexible Multi Level Ensemble on this website BUT - no extra thinking required: just start at the beginning and play the whole song!!
We Shall Overcome is highly patterned based to ensure easy learning for beginners of all ages. It includes a full conductor’s score and the three separate student parts, plus Backing Tracks.
BONUS: This Trio teaches students about the elements of a song: Melody, Counter melody & Bass line. Every part gets a chance to play the Melody, the Bass line, the Counter melody - they just take turns! Encourage them to listen and identify which part they are playing.
BONUS: Included is an Intermediate level accompaniment part for the teacher or more advanced student.
