The Mexican Clapping Song for Flexible Piano Trio (Elementary) BACKING TRACK
Let’s get the Fiesta started in your Studio! Here’s a fun, flexible Piano Trio of The Mexican Clapping Song.
You have lots of choices for ways you can use this arrangement in your Studio:
Included are 2 different level arrangements that all work together, or you can Mix & Match the parts.
Late Elementary: Each part is for 2 hands - or just play 1 hand. Great for Group lessons where each student has their own piano.
Elementary: Mostly 5 finger positions. Melody is split between 2 hands so that the hands never move. All 3 parts can be played on 1 Piano! (Want to put all 3 parts of the Late Elementary trio on 1 piano? Let Part 2 play Left Hand only & Part 3 play Right Hand only, in different Octaves while Part 1 is the star in the middle.)
Part 1: Melody. This can be a stand alone Solo, especially for the Late Elementary level. For Easy Elementary, dress it up by pairing it with any other part to create a duet.
Part 2: Bass Line. Pretend you are the Guitaron player in a Mariachi band - the bass line is very important part! In the Easy Elementary, 2 versions are offered. Not reading Bass clef yet? You can play the Bass line with your Right hand inTreble clef, just move 2 Octaves down.
Part 3: Counter Melody. This part offers a harmonizing counter melody that adds so much color to this piece! Pretend you are a Marimba player or maybe the violins in the Mariachi band!
Make sure to grab the FREE BACKING TRACK. Need the track to be a little slower? Check out the Google folder with each part alone, and different tempos. Get the BACKING TRACK FOLDER HERE.
Don’t forget about the added Percussion part- It wouldn’t be the Mexican CLAPPING Song with out some clapping! Get students and the audience involved by clapping or stomping at the appropriate moments, like m. 3 & 4!
Level: Easy Elementary & Late Elementary, RCM 1 equivalent
How Long: Cover + 21 pages music. Performance time. 1:00.
This is a STUDIO LICENSE: One purchase - One person is allowed multiple copies for students in their Studio. Thank you for honoring the creativity and work of the composer.
